The Corvette Z06X Concept by Chevrolet

The Z06X Concept is being shown in a low gloss Icy White Metallic exterior color, accented with exposed carbon fiber body components and red trim. The CFZ package offers body components that enhance aerodynamic down force on the race track, including a front splitter. The 2011 Z06 with the Z07 package creates the lightest production Corvette and includes carbon ceramic brakes and Magnetic Ride Control. This concept car represents a mid-point between our GT race car and the production Z06, prepared by the team responsible for the Corvette Racing C6.R race cars, and featuring many performance parts owners can choose today. The Z06X concept is based on the Corvette Z06 with the 1LZ equipment package, along with the Z07 Performance Package and CFZ Carbon Fiber Package.

Chevrolet teamed with Pratt and Miller, partners in Corvette Racing in the American LeMans Series, to create the concept. Racing is an integral part of Corvette performance and technology, said Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer. The Chevrolet Corvette Z06X Concept shows how enthusiasts can use the brand’s expanding portfolio of performance parts to create a full on track car. To celebrate and suggest new ideas and components for the transformation of the production Corvette into a serious, closed course track car, Chevrolet will debut the Corvette Z06X Concept at the 2010 SEMA Show. Chevrolet motorsport portfolio is pretty expansive ranging from LeMans to club racing.

Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS MC

Each of the door sills is fitted with carbon fibre trim panels embossed with the MC Sport Line logo and the MC logo is stamped into the aluminium brake pedal. Additionally it is used around the instrument pack and on the gearchange paddles. The Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS MC Sport Line replaces all the wood trim in the standard car with carbon fibre, across the dashboard, the front and rear centre consoles, sections of the door panels, the gear knob and around the switchgear. The MC Sport Line, first launched on the GranTurismo S with electro-actuated gearbox is now available across the GranTurismo and Quattroporte ranges.

The MC Sport Line equipment package is developed from the experience of Maserati Corse Maserati factory owned racing department and Maserati winning motorsport programmes, both with the Maserati MC12 once again this year leading the FIA GT1 World Championship and the GranTurismo MC in its Trofeo and GT4 versions. The Quattroporte Sport GT S with the added stylistic elements of the MC Sport Line option package is at the peak of sportiness in the Quattroporte range and perfectly embodies the character of Maserati luxury sport sedan. Maserati has taken the opportunity to show the Quattroporte Sport GT S with the MC Sport Line package at this year Australian International Auto Show, which opened its doors in Sidney on October 15.

Renault Megane RS250

It's also interesting to note that apart from the Renault Megane sedan, the Focus is the only other European engineered and built 1.6 litre car in the The last Focus set a benchmark in its class, and the new sedan has been developed to expand the Focus' reach even beyond its better mknown three and five door siblings, even if the cabin space is the same as offered by the five door hatchback, boot aside. From the rear three quarters, the Focus sedan comes across as crisp and discreet, with triangular rear lamps that make it look like a scaled down Mondeo, an important point in status conscious Asian markets. What has also helped is that the new Focus has leaner and more elegant lines and these lend themselves better to a four-door sedan than the aggressively bold styling of the previous model.

The first thing one notice about the sedan is that it looks well proportioned and neat, unlike the last model, which looked like it had its boot grafted on as an afterthought. Perhaps it is because, unlike the previous Focus, the new one especially this saloon version is targeted at the Asian markets. Why would Ford showcase its best-selling European model in Asia before its world premier in Europe? It launched the Focus range at the Paris Motor Show in late September last year, but the prototype Focus Concept, a thinly disguised Focus sedan, was actually revealed three months earlier in June at the Beijing Motor Show.

Ford has done things a little differently with the new Focus, especially the four door sedan model.
